Unifeed for Honeycreeper and Leafbird: unifeed for valuable insectivores/frugivores: low iron contenent mixed food for Honeycreeper and Leafbird
Ingredients: sugar, vegetable proteins, fat and oils, cereal, mineral substances, probiotics, vitamins, amino acids, antioxidants, flavourings.
Use: administer the product as it is or add water until the consistency of the mixture is similar to that of an homemade ice cream. In the latter case, unifeed is usually more appetizing but the product must be replaced at teast once a day (especially in the summer).
Method of conversion to unifeed: most birds accept immediately the new food even dry, while, in case of reluctant or new phobic birds, which don’t accept unknown food, it is useful to add water until the consistency of the mixture is similar to that of an homemade ice cream and add bits of fruit or insects so that bird in search of food will be forced to taste it; it is also usefull to mix it with the mash in use to get birds used to the new taste. After ensuring that birds eat unifeed, it can be administered alone either dry or wet.
